A mental health treatment plan is a support plan for someone who is going through mental health issues. If a GP agrees that you need additional support, you and the doctor will make the plan together.
A mental health treatment plan might include:
A referral to a mental health expert
The types of mental health care that can support you
Other strategies to improve and maintain your mental health
If you have a mental health treatment plan, the government will pay some or all of the cost of up to 20 sessions with a mental health expert in a year. Usually the doctor will only allocate 6 sessions to start then you can ask for the other sessions once you have established a relationship with your mental health practitioner.

My services can sometimes be subsidised via NDIS. If you or someone you care for is on an NDIS plan, you may be able to claim for individual or group therapy sessions, depending on the needs which have been identified on your plan. The kinds of needs I can help with come under the heading of Capacity Building Supports.

I firmly believe that mental health support should be available for everyone, regardless of their ability to pay. I therefore offer subsidised places for those experiencing hardship, on a sliding scale depending on what you can afford.
Please get in touch and we can have a transparent chat to discuss your circumstances and needs and find a solution that works for us both.
